How Vettor Works: Real Market Data, Not a Guessing Chatbot
Vettor is not a generic AI answering from general knowledge. It reads the actual numbers on your dealer deal sheet and grounds the analysis in live, real-time market data, so what you get is based on real figures, not a guess.
Grounded in real market data
This is the difference that matters. If you paste a car quote into a generic AI chatbot, it answers from general training knowledge with no live reference point, so it cannot really tell you whether your price or your fees are in line with the current market. Vettor works the other way around: it extracts the exact line items from your deal sheet and benchmarks them against live, real-time market pricing. The out-the-door price, the fee flags, the trade-in check, and the dealer grade all rest on real data.
What Vettor checks on your deal

What Vettor won't do
Being honest about the edges matters:
- Private-party sales. If you are buying from a private seller with no itemized dealer sheet, there is nothing for Vettor to parse.
- Mechanical condition or history. A good financial deal can still be a bad car. Vettor reads the deal, not the vehicle, so still get a pre-purchase inspection and check the vehicle history.
